Past Service Projects

Previous events that may be repeated in the future. Contact Service Chair, Joy D., if you have ideas for a service activity or want to help with service projects.

Saturday and Sunday, August 9–10: Heritage Days in East Grand Forks

We are promoting quilting and NSQG at Heritage Days in East Grand Forks, Saturday and Sunday, August 9–10. (Saturday: 10 AM–4 PM and Sunday: 10 AM–5 PM).

Please volunteer to help staff our exhibit and sell raffle tickets at this event. The SignUpGenius is waiting to hear from you: Heritage Days Volunteer Sign Up.  You can also sign up at the August Guild meeting.

This will be a great opportunity to share quilting through a display of quilts, sell raffle quilt tickets, and provide demonstrations on quilt making. Service chair Joy and others will set up the display in the church, which has electricity and will be locked when we are not there. This will be a great time to get together with some friends, bring your unfinished projects, and work on them while donating time for a good cause. Demonstrators do not need to utilize old techniques; bring your rotary cutters and machines to demonstrate modern quilting methods as well. The Heritage Foundation would really like to have a few people working on quilts and available to answer questions that viewers might have.
