Ever feel like you have lost your inspiration for quilting? Let’s get it brewing again! We all have a stash with beautiful fabrics – is there a special piece in yours that you have loved for a week, a month or years and just haven’t cut it up?
Bring your favorite stash piece to share with your table and we’ll stir up some ideas, answer some questions and get the creative juices flowing!
This will take place either just before or right after our meeting break depending on how long the business portion of the meeting takes.
November 4, 2023 – Make a Fabric Box or Bin

Fabric Box Class
Time to move to new projects and maybe even begin thinking of Christmas gifts. November’s education class will make great gifts as we will be making fabric boxes/bins. Dawn Pearson will teach/demonstrate making fabric boxes/bins immediately following the guild meeting. Dawn will give you instructions should you want to make various sizes.
Bring your lunch, the following prepared materials, and sewing supplies for a bin measuring 9x9x6:
- 2 fat quarters—one for outside and one for lining
- ½ yard Pellon 809 Décor Bond (45-in. width interfacing)
Prior to the class, fuse half of the Pellon 809 Décor Bond to the wrong side of each fat quarter, then trim each to 16 x 22 inches. Those measurements can vary slightly to get the most efficient use of your materials, which will alter the finished size of your bin.
Bring sewing supplies:
- Machine
- Thread
- Pins
- Ruler
- Scissors
