The 2025 Quilts on the Red quilt show will include two challenge exhibits. Quilters chose one or more, put on their thinking caps, and create some amazing art!
Upcycle Challenge
Here’s your chance to create a challenge quilt featuring previously used fabric or other recyclables. While recycling is not a new concept, “sustainable” is a current-day social goal to use resources responsibly and in a way that considers the needs of future generations. Examples of previously used textiles would be denim pants, shirts, household linens, and vintage tea towels. Enter your items under Category 15 (no fee). Find a treasure from the past and have fun!

Watercolor Challenge Round 5
North Star Quilters Guild and River Forks Watercolor Society will display the results of their fifth pairing. In 2017, these two local groups collaborated for the first time and have been creating art inspired by each other’s work ever since. “Seasons” is this year’s theme. This round, the watercolor artists invited Art Quilters in the North Star Quilters Guild to create a art quilts inspired by a watercolor painting. About 25 pairings of original pieces will be shown for the first time at this year’s Quilts on the Red!
