Set up is Friday June 5, 1 to 6 and Saturday June 6, 8:30 to 10. Location and more information about set will be forthcoming\u2014stay tuned. If you are interested in helping with the set up just let me know. I can be there at any time because I will be retiring June 1\u2014how\u2019s that for timing?
Then we will need people to be at the booth; two people per two-hour shift for Saturday beginning at 10 and ending at 6. Same thing for Sunday June 7 but it is a shorter day just 10-4 and then take down. They are two-hour shifts but feel free to sign up for more than one. Whoever is there for the Sunday 2 to 4 pm shift I would appreciate your help with the takedown and hopefully we will have some extra hands there as well. It is BYOC-bring your own chair, if you can\u2019t bring one or don\u2019t have one, I plan to have an extra or two at the booth just in case. When I know where the booth is I will ask MaryPat to send out an email so that you know where you might park in order to be closest to the area-having said that parking is at a premium at this event so that information may not be helpful. But I will try to help you find the shortest course to our site.
Duties include: keeping an eye on the cash box and quilt, selling raffle tickets, answering questions, and promoting the guild. Do your best to engage those who pass by, often when they hear what we do with the money they are more likely to buy a ticket. The folks who are there at the start of the day, you will likely need to do a few things to get things ready like make sure that the table is looking nice, retape signs, pop up the tent, hang the quilt, that sort of thing. At the end of the day, the \u201cvaluables\u201d (cash box, tickets and quilt) go to Charlene, who lives nearby, for safe keeping.
